Between March 27 and April 19, 2026, the Timișoara Easter Fair transforms the city center into a springtime experience that brings together community, art, and traditions. The event takes place in the city’s most important historical squares: Victoriei Square, Libertății Square, Sfântul Gheorghe Square, and Unirii Square, and offers visitors an urban route full of atmosphere and activities for all ages.
Organized by City of Timișoara through the House of Culture Timișoara, in partnership with the Center for Projects Timișoara and Visit Timișoara – Destination Management Organization, the Easter Fair is one of the most important spring events in the city and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
The experience begins in Victoriei Square, where the festive atmosphere invites visitors to spend time together and rediscover the public space. In front of the Opera House, art and visual interventions create a special setting for encounters, and the route continues along Alba Iulia Street, guiding visitors to the next areas of the fair.
In Libertății Square, visitors will find local products, traditional dishes, and items made by artisans. The area becomes a meeting point for those who want to discover local flavors and traditions in a lively atmosphere.
Sfântul Gheorghe Square is dedicated to families and children, with creative workshops organized by MIC – the Interactive Museum for Children, and sports activities supported by Sport Club Municipal Timișoara.
The journey ends in Unirii Square, one of the city’s most beautiful historical spaces, where the festive atmosphere invites visitors to enjoy the spirit of the Easter holidays. The full program of events will be announced on March 16.
The Timișoara Easter Fair brought a festive atmosphere to the Citadel, where public spaces became places for gathering, culture, and spending time together as a community. The public responded in large numbers to the invitation to discover the city at a different pace, enjoying the event and the fairytale route created by the Easter Fair’s decorations in the four historic squares: Victoriei Square, Libertății Square, Sfântul Gheorghe Square, and Unirii Square. The programme for the 2026 edition featured street performances, creative workshops for children, sports activities, and popular musical performances, and throughout the event, visitors were able to explore this unique urban experience.
In light of this, and given the public’s growing interest, the Timișoara Easter Fair—organized by the Timișoara City Hall through the House of Culture of the Municipality of Timișoara, in partnership with the Center for Projects and Visit Timișoara (the Destination Management Organization)—will be extended through Sunday, April 19. The visiting hours for the Easter Fair in Libertății Square are Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. New surprise events will be added to the program.
